[See that snowdrift over there?]
[It's not a normal snowdrift. In fact, if one were to stop and look at it, they would notice that it's moving, rising up, that a jagged line is forming, a crack at the base of a growing mound of ice and snow.]
[Beneath, it's almost as if something is alive! Something dark, almost black, something that shimmers menacingly when a stray sunbeam hits it just right, something with constantly flicking tendrils. Perhaps it's some rabid monster ready to gobble up small children, or maybe it's something slimey-oozy that comes out at midnight when everyone's curled up in bed, sleeping soundly, unaware!]
[The snow begins to crackle, breaking into pieces, falling to the side as the creature stands up, shakes off its legs, throws back its neck and snorts loudly. In the crisp winter air, the "smoke" that pours from its flaring nostrils is impossible to miss.]
